This is a really difficult question to answer as it is unlikely that accountants in two different businesses will do the same thing.

Generally Guernsey accountants are responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial records, including data management, creation of financial statements and ensuring regulatory compliance with accounting standards and tax reporting.

Accountants can work in industry (ie as an employee of a trading business) or in practice (such as Collenette Jones) where they work for many businesses independently.
