Whilst not exhaustive, you may find this notice board useful in making sure you hit the various key filing deadlines for tax and Social Insurance that Guernsey businesses need to be aware of.

UK paper tax return deadline...

31 October 2018

UK paper tax returns following the 5 April UK tax year end have to be submitted by this date in order for the HMRC to calculate your tax and avoid penalties

Registering voluntary strike offs

31 October 2018

Voluntary strike offs have to be registered by this date with the Guernsey Registry in order for the company to avoid having to submit its next Annual Validation. If the submission is made between 31 October and the year end then the Annual Validation still needs to be submitted but the Guernsey Registry will not charge their fee.

It is time to pay some tax!!

31 December 2018

Payments of Guernsey tax on account for individuals not paid through the ETI scheme, sole traders and companies which are taxed are due by this date in order to avoid penalties

15 January 2019

Company and personal Guernsey Income tax returns need to be submitted for the Year of Charge 2017.

Q4 tax and Social Insurance returns due

15 January 2019

Ensure your Quarter 4 Company Distribution Reporter, ETI and States Insurance returns are made by 15 January 2019

Annual Validations filing deadline

28 February 2019

Guernsey company Annual Validations need to be submitted to the Guernsey Registry by this date in order to avoid penalties, together with payment of the appropriate fee.
