Maria joined the Collenette Jones Team in July 2025.

She originally worked at Reads & Co after joining straight out of Ladies College and stayed in the same department for 36 years. By the time she left the original accountancy practice had morphed into BDO Limited.

She has a wide range of experience with both sole traders and limited companies and the preparation of accounts and related tax computations and returns. The variety of clients she has worked with has been incredibly wide from small “one man band” decorators to asset holding companies with multi million pound portfolios. She still loves the mix and is happy working with clients regardless of the size of their business.

Maria was born in Guernsey and whilst she loves the Island, she is very partial to travelling. Favourite countries visited so far include Iceland, Greenland, Morocco and Jordan though there is still a long list of places she wants to visit. Whilst on Guernsey she is usually found sea swimming, gardening, reading or watching movies.
