Gareth is one of our Directors and has responsibility for the firm's audit and assurance services. He has gained extensive audit experience since he started his career in accountancy with EY in 2001 (then Ernst & Young) which helps him and his colleagues service the firm's diverse audit client base, which ranges from investment property holding companies to regulated locally owned financial services businesses.

In addition to audits, Gareth looks after a portfolio of Guernsey based businesses' and individuals' accounting and tax compliance needs. He especially enjoys being involved in interesting projects that invariably come his way relating to his clients' businesses. These include:

• financial due diligence on business purchases;
• helping organise management buyouts of existing directors/ shareholders;
• advising on business sales or acquisitions;
• liquidating listed funds; and
• forensic accounting work with local Advocates.

Gareth was educated at the Grammar School, Guernsey and went on to study for a Masters degree in Naval Architecture at Southampton University. Upon graduation he joined EY in Guernsey and qualified in 2004.

Outside work Gareth is a Director of Elizabeth College, one of the island's independent schools and he is also the Treasurer for the 8th Guernsey Sea Scouts. More often than his wife would like he can be found riding around Guernsey on one of his push bikes or running around after said wife, three sons or the dog.
