Collenette Jones is excited to be sponsoring 21-year old Guernsey FC and Vale Recreation FC midfielder Seb Skillen to compete in the 2017 Island Games, playing for the Guernsey Football team. It is a fantastic opportunity for Seb to play against challenging island squads including Aland, The Isle of Man, and of course our biggest rivals Jersey. 

The talented Seb is one of fourteen debutants who were chosen to play in the games this year, hosted on the Swedish Island of Gotland over the week of 24th-30th June. The midfielder has had a successful football season so far, winning the FA cup for Vale Rec earlier this year, lifting the trophy as the first-time winners of the competition.

Seb has also played for Guernsey FC, where he demonstrates passion and commitment to his sport. Seb has said ‘I am very excited to attend my first Island Games in Gotland to take part in the Men’s Football, in which we are aiming for Gold from the off. The hard work in training has been done and we are all now buzzing to go and show what we can do, in what we expect to be a challenging week both physically and mentally. I would like to thank Collenette Jones for sponsoring me for the Games, their support is gratefully appreciated!’
