Colin is the newest addition to our Director team. He enjoys the challenge and variety posed by dealing with the needs of clients ranging from those who want to avoid the hassle of completing their personal income tax returns to directors of multi-million pound turnover businesses - and everything in between.

Colin admits to an interest in the technical side of accounting and tax, and is the firm’s ‘go-to’ man when UK tax rules impact on Guernsey residents – which is more common than you’d think, particularly for those with a UK property portfolio.

Colin’s background is well suited to the range of clients he deals with, having started his accounting career at a small local firm in the UK before moving back to Guernsey and completing his professional training with PwC. He then joined another regional firm on the Island, where he specialised in small local businesses and Guernsey tax, joining Collenette Jones in September 2013. Prior to accounting life, Colin was educated at the Grammar School, Guernsey, and tried various other roles – including the Civil Service, Estate Agency, and a spell working for HM Revenue & Customs.

Outside of work, Colin enjoys walking, cycling and running, which he tries to fit around the never-ending task of keeping on top of his garden and home renovations. He is also easily persuaded to spend time in the kitchen, ideally eating other people’s creations!
