Jon joined Collenette Jones in 1998 and was a Collenette Jones main board director from 2002 – 2022 after which he started taking things a little easier.  Jon is now a consultant, working 2-3 days a week, as well as remaining on the board of Crossways Trustees Limited, our trust company.

Jon continues to be closely involved in his clients’ affairs, these days mostly personal tax, advisory and pension clients, although he retains an interest in and advises clients on succession planning, business valuations, acquisitions and disposals.

Jon was educated at Elizabeth College and graduated in Politics from the University of Bristol.  After a period of travel and teaching overseas, Jon joined what was Ernst & Young, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1995.

Outside of work, Jon is a longstanding committee member and recent past President and Treasurer of Rocquaine Regatta LBG.  He spends far too much time (according to his wife!) coaching football at Sylvans SC, where he has been a coach for the last 20+ years.  He is currently a first team/Priaulx coach.  He also finds time to get out in his boat tending his crab and lobster pots and obsessively fishing for bass, his favourite prey off boat and shore.  He’s been married to Katey since 1994 with three grown up children.
