Collenette Jones was established in Guernsey in 1978 based on strong principles of personal client service. These principles are core to how we service our client's business and is an approach that has proved extremely successful over the years.

General Practice Accountants
Collenette Jones is a general practice accountancy firm. We are chartered accountants and tax advisors. We are comfortable helping with bookkeeping, acting as an auditor, giving advice on a business valuation, sale or purchase. Our regulated subsidiary, Crossways Trustees, provides company formation and corporate services, as well as acting as a pension fund Trustee (or discretionary trust).

Being specialists in general practice may sound like a contradiction in terms but we are now one of the few local Guernsey professional services firms in the island to be able to provide a total suite of accounting, assurance, tax, company formation, administration, payroll, audit, pension and trust services under the same roof.  It’s fair to say our work is varied and no two days are ever the same.

Clients and business turnover
Our audit business makes up around 15% of turnover; accountancy and tax work just over 50%; our trust business 30%; and the remaining 5% being ad-hoc work including business valuation, advisory and liquidation work. Our clients represent a real cross-section of Guernsey businesses, large and small - builders, growers, hotels, restauranteurs, shops, other accountants, lawyers, financial services businesses, property investors and people who just want us to take on the hassle and worry of dealing with the Guernsey Revenue Service.

Staff and location
We are a relatively small team - four directors (who between them own the business), eight professionally qualified accountants, one trainee, a number of support staff with accounting technician and / or book-keeping qualifications, a Trust team of four and our invaluable admin staff – around 24 people in total.  We work hard for our clients although we have a culture that encourages a healthy work / life balance - we all have families and don’t believe in working long hours on a regular basis.  We aim to be a business that people are happy to work for, and the majority of our staff have been with us for many years.
